Hey all slugger here The dukes got to demo fly a huge event in the pan handel of WV on Aug. 4-6 the http://www.martinsburgairshow.com/ There were 1,000's of people watching us ... and we flew hard ... ball picks/ 1,000' streamers/skydiver smoke/spirals and double spirals/ we were under the thumb of the FAA as a FSO was at the event and on saturday we were limited to 300' agl as planes came in over our heads to the regional airport which has a tower and is normally limited to all but "real air planes" we had a guy on the ground with a FRS and a Nav-Com radio communicating with the tower and relaying to us. We were not about to ask questions when we were asked to land for the C-105 or 130 ?? "it was a big plane" came in for it's static display. |

On sunday we were pleased to make the news papers ... Dan Krisler = blue Mike ODaniel = light blue w/ red Maury = yellow/white/black |

< This black halk took off while we were flying ... wow that was scary ... but we were up and out and clear for the most part then the tower called for us to land so we all came back ... then he took off right in front of some of us ... I was was with in a 100 yards ... i didn't fell a bump ? but was rdy for a colapase as i skimmed the deck to the LZ. |

| On a side note over the flyin weeknd I covered my 1,000 flight. I log still as I like to keep the record and it helps get me my ratings and stuff to fly more controlled sites... Here is a picture of me "James the (ltl-slugger) Coblentz holding up my 7 full log books and the news paper I made the front page of on my 1,000 ... I can't wait to get to 10,000 when I do party at my place beer is on me !!! |  |
